ÖRUGG are responsible for the fire design of an extension to Alvotech's pharmaceutical production and research facilities in Vatnsmýri which houses a variety of activities, such as research, testing and manufacturing, which require highly specialized fire safety solutions. Alvotech is a rapidly growing company and safety is very important in securing operations and reducing potential damage.

Fire safety must be understood and engineered in a balance between the demands of different design and functional elements.

Fire safety calculations include smoke evacuations with computational fluid dynamics methods, evacuation calculations in 3D. Furthermore we have conducted risk assessment related to chemicals and fire risk.
